The EUROSAI WGEA presented the review of their achievements at VI EUROSAI Congress held in Bonn, Germany, between 30.05 - 02.06, 2005. The presentation covered an exhibition titled "Environment Protection in Kids Eyes", a poster session, an information booklet, publication of WEGA documents and report from 6 years' activity coordinated by SCC.
EUROSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing activity on VI EUROSAI Congress, Bonn, Germany, 30 May – 2 June 2005
The EUROSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing during the
EUROSAI Congress in Bonn, held on 30 May – 2 June 2005, presented
Group’s activities executed in the last three years (since the V
EUROSAI Congress in Moscow in May 2002).
The EUROSAI WGEA exhibition consist of:
· PowerPoint presentation on selected environmental audits,
prepared by the Groups Sub-coordinators SAIs from: France and Malta,
the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russian Federation.
· Poster session on selected environmental audits prepared by
the SAIs: Albania, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, European
Court of Auditors, France, Lithuania Hungary, Italy, the
Netherlands, Macedonia, Malta, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Romania,
Russian Federation, Slovakia, Sweden, Ukraine,
· Drawing competition Environmental protection in kid’s eyes
SAIs
of : Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania,
Luxemburg, Latvia, Spain, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania,
Russian Federation, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, United Kingdom.
Competition results were announced 1st of June the
International Children’s Day. The prizes won drawings from: fist place
Romania, second – Poland, third – Italy, fourth – Hungary and
fifth – Estonia.
The Supreme Chamber of Control, the EUROSAI WGEA
Coordinator, published booklet, Environmental Auditing in Europe 1999 –
2005 . The booklet, collects contribution from all EUROSAI WGEA members
in order to present the fruit of our Group work. Subsequent pages
outline international environmental audits and selected national
audits, completed so far, thus providing factual illustration of
international cooperation, pursued by the European SAIs, both EUROSAI
WGEA members and actively cooperating non-members.

Resolution of VI EUROSAI Congress
Meeting in Bonn, Germany, 2 June, 2005
· Taking into account that, according to the mandate from V
EUROSAI Congress, the EUROSAI WGEA has completed another 3-year period
in its activity;
· Congratulating the EUROSAI WGEA on the achievements attained so far; and
· In
recognition of effects of the EUROSAI WGEA work, which find best
expression both in the growing numbers of European international
environmental audits, and growing interest in exchange of related
information and experiences among the European SAIs,
The Congress resolves to
1. Note the 2002 – 2005 EUROSAI WGEA Activity Report, presented by the EUROSAI WGEA Coordinator, and
2. Extend
the EUROSAI WGEA mandate for another 3 year period in the existing
organizational framework / structure.
